RE: Sams Club Back-Up Camera System

Its hard to say what I think.....how do "you" think it works? Your wiring theory sounds ok to me, should be adequate. I'd be interested in your assessment of it.

RE: Weber Baby Q Propane Issues

I use the Weber with a 1 gallon propane bottle and hose and it has always worked perfectly. Never tried a larger bottle.
But I also take the burner out of the Weber from time to time and really wire brush it very well and use an acetylene torch cleaning tool to insure that all the holes are the right size and take the Weber to a car wash and just pressure wash it inside and out. Comes out looking like new. Working like new.

RE: Best burger you've had- why?

IN-N-OUT BURGERS. (CA. AZ. UT. NV.) perhaps other bordering states.
In-n-Out Burgers
They have three items on the menu, hamburgers and french frys.
French fries are made from real potatoes cut/sliced on the site. Hamburgers are fantastic.
Every person working in the facility is visible from the counter and the place is sparkling clean. Every person working there looks like they stepped off the Brady Bunch Bus. Extremely clean cut and no attitudes. Their starting pay is $9.00 an hour and so they can be very picky about the quality of staff they hire.

RE: Yellowstone

Although Yellowstone is fantastic and has a lot to offer, Please try to schedule at least one day (early morning start) to the Grand Tetons also. We found 10 times the available wildlife there compared to Yellowstone. Grizzle bear, elk, eagles, buffalo, more grizzle bear, wolf, coyote, and critters we couldn't find a name for.

RE: New Laptop, XP or VISTA ?

Vista locking up???
I purchased a new HP desktop with Vista and it was the computer from hell. For 10 months I blamed Vista for its locking up and having to reboot and reload the operating system over and over again.
Turns out it was the computer....2 mother boards and 3 CPUs and finally HP admitted it was a lemon and sent me a newer model and everything works perfect. I have become a fan of Vista now.

RE: 50 mph top speed?

I had a similar experience with my MH about a year ago. It would all of a sudden refuse to accelerate to a reasonable speed for a while, then all of a sudden it would perform perfectly.
Finally, after about 80 miles of dealing with this, it refused to accelerate over nearly an idle. I was ready to call for road service and my wife looked down at the accelerator and then pulled out a golf ball that had rolled under it. Problem solved.......what do wives know? :(

RE: Engine block heater switch.

Dumb question. Why is the block heater switch in the bed room. I would think it would be with the rest of the engine controls.
Probably because its not a 12volt switch or operation. Its a 110Volt switch and component. Just a lot easier to put the switch closest to the component, like the light switch for the bedroom is located in the bedroom.
Just my deduction, has nothing to do with actual theory :)

RE: Death valley ca.?

Death Valley Encampment
Check this event out. Its non-stop entertainment and fun. We have been there three times for the event and look forward to doing it again and again.
One word of warning...you gotta like ole time western music, banjo's fiddles etc. Happens in November each year.

RE: Engine block heater switch.

I found what I think is the plug for the block heater, it`s not labled and I didnt find any switch to to turn it on of off just the plug in or out.
any sugestions???
Rich
I assume (?) that its located under the bed in the engine department. If so, just run a separate 12 ga extension cord to it and plug it in when temps drop to freezing or below for a few hours before starting engine.

RE: Engine block heater switch.

Our MH has exactly what your describing, a large rocker switch that turns on the block heater as previous posters elude to.
Couple of things to know: On ours, it will operated off the inverter and draw the batteries down quickly when not plugged into shore power (what Einstein thought this was a good idea?)
The other: before losing our 90 lb boxer, the pad she slept on was on the floor at the foot of the bed. More than once, her big rump would back into the switch and turn it on. I finally had to put a little swing down tap that prevented it from being accidentally turned on.

RE: Documenting family history

I think I understand what your looking for but the only thing that comes to mind is Family Tree Maker which is a family tree making program.
But: it has a lot of flexibility and you should be able to organize your findings with it.
I'd be interested in hearing from others too that might be able to provide you with a better alternative thats more in tune with what your looking for.

RE: photos in new computer question

PhotoResize
Check out PhotoResize. Set it for whatever resolution (size) you want and drag the file over it and it automatically resizes it or the whole directory if you desire.

RE: This was just weird.....WEIRD!!!

Of course we have to sum it up as:
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Ugly is also in the eye of the beholder
When weird gets in my eye, I have the option to ignore it or find it disgusting or deal with it or not. I chose not to deal with it and find it disgusting and find that look as something that would gag a maggot. I would never let a person like that wait on me at a business, nor would I ever return to that business.

RE: This was just weird.....WEIRD!!!

Crowe:
Your comparing apples to oranges.
I had duck tails, I was a teenager and it was controversial. But when I decided to be a big boy and join the adult world, a simple haircut made the transition pretty darn easy.
I don't know how anyone can join the real world with baseball sized washers in their earlobes. Tattoos????? It used to be a simple heart and I love Wanda on the arm. Now, you see people with elaborate arm, leg, back, face covering of tattoos.
I know that its a way of expression, but I have to wonder how many of these individuals wake up and find that its too late to get a meaningful job because they look like they belong in a circus.

RE: This was just weird.....WEIRD!!!

I wonder what they enjoy doing to u'r food.
They better not be doing anything with his food. The guy was in line in front of him, NOT behind the counter.
BTW, I wouldn't hire anybody looking like that either. Of course, they probably wouldn't be looking for a "job" in the first place.
If this guy was working there, I would have walked out without any hesitation. He was just gross. And it was at an In-n-Out Burger. For those who haven't had the opportunity to visit one, (Ca.AZ.UT. area only) every one of the staff look like they stepped out of the Brady Bunch show. Extremely clean cut. Perfect haircuts and groomed. And no attitudes. Their starting pay is $9.00 an hour so they can be very picky about the people they hire.

This was just weird.....WEIRD!!!

We stopped for lunch today at an In-N-Out Burger in Tempe, AZ today. A young man, about 30, walked up to the counter just ahead of me with huge, HUGE black washers inserted into his earlobes. By huge, I'm saying that the hole was at least the size of a baseball. Honest.
Then I caught a look at his face.....two pointy knobs like mini horns in his forhead. Several tattoos, and piercings of wire hanging out of his face an lips too. I tried to take a picture with my cell phone, but was unable to do so. Turns out that was only half the story, his wife, girlfriend or whatever had the same washers in her earlobes but they were only about the size of a pingpong ball.
My question? Who would hire these people? What are they going to look like at 60 years old???
Am I that out of touch?????????

RE: Does the problems ever stop???

What happens when you try the black tank dumping? More info would help us help you.
nothing comes out
Me thinks your problem is not so much with the quality of the MH but the need for education in how things work. Perhaps another walk through is in order.
